Nearly twenty-five thousand residences in Queensland's southeast found themselves experiencing outages on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms impacted the area, generating strong winds hitting 109km/h.

Massive Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Destruction

Locals observed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.

The following day was predicted as the most rainy day, with persistent thunderstorm potential predicted across various areas of both regions.

Health officials warned that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the current weather patterns.
